Come Be a Part of History! On August 28, 2010, California Riverside Ballet presents "The Thrill Lives On: Celebrating 52 Years of Michael Jackson". - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

- In front of the Historic Courthouse,4050 Main Street (Main Street will be blocked off between 10th and 11th Streets)
- Parking in downtown is FREE on weekends
Whether you are a fan of his music, dance or his influence on pop culture, there is something exciting for everyone including: - Michael Jackson costume contest
- Guest appearances by Courtney Miller and Eddie Garcia, who shared the stage with MJ
- A chance to learn how to dance like the King of Pop
This FREE event also includes a workshop class lead by Guest Artistic Director BJ Brasier, a leading choreographer in the dance and entertainment community who worked alongside Michael. And don't forget that you can be a part of history as we assemble the largest documented crowd of "Thriller" performers in southern California. This fun event will be photographed and videotaped for posting on YouTube. COME ONE, COME ALL! NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

The Nutcracker Tea features a condensed version of The Nutcracker which is narrated and performed in the Music Room of the beautiful Mission Inn. This year we are pleased to welcome a special guest narrator. Additional information on both the Tea and our narrator will be published on this site closer to the date. California Riverside Ballet Presents Ghost Walk Riverside October 22nd & 23rd, 2010 5:40 - 11:00 p.m. Ghost Walk Riverside returns for it's 19th year on Friday and Saturday nights. California Riverside Ballet once again brings the downtown area of Riverside alive with stories of horror, mystery, and intrigue. Guests will be led through the historic district in the shadows of the Mission Inn, where they will hear renditions of tales "from beyond" that range from the spine-tingling to the humorous. Additional entertainment will include live performances by actors, dancers and musicians. Mark your calendar and join us for the Ghost Walk tour, free entertainment, CRB "Boo-tique," concessions, and more. Ghost Walk "Spirits" Tour Thursday, October 14th, 2010 New for 2010 is the Ghost Walk "Spirits" Tour. This special tour will include locations and stories not featured at Ghost Walk. In addition, guests will sample some ghoulishly wonderful hors d'ouvres and specially concocted libations at each stop on their tour. We look forward to seeing you there! What is California Riverside Ballet? Since its founding in 1969, California Riverside Ballet has been presenting exciting programs to the delight of our audiences and dance critics alike. Featuring a repertoire of outstanding choreography. CRB has become a promising company with a unique style and character of its own. Traditionally, CRB presents two major productions, provides the community with four major Outreach programs, and hosts numerous community and fundraising events including Ghost Walk Riverside and the Nutcracker Tea.
CRB has been host to guest artists and master teachers including Julia Adam, David Allan, Sabina Allemann, Evelyn Cisneros, Kimberly Glasco, Nicole Helinka, Kipling Houston, Darci Kistler, Kenneth Kreel, Stephen Legate, Serge Levoie, Gregory Osborne, Maya Plisetskaya, Clinton Rothwell, Christopher Stole, Edward Villella, Veronica Tennant and Igor Zelenski. California Riverside Ballet auditions are open to any dancer, and our casts include students from the best schools in the area. As a result of their performance experience with the California Riverside Ballet, many receive scholarships from major company schools. A good percentage of our dancers have been contracted with major companies all over the world. Some of our guest artists such as Darci Kistler and Stephen Legate, now with other companies, received their initial performance training with our company. |
