Foster the growth of a promising young ballet dancer by making a donation to the Peggy Fouke Wertz Pointe Shoe Fund.

Dancers train for years before they put on the first pair of shiny satin pointe shoes.  They dream of the day they will bouree’ daintily across the stage.  Pointe shoes are as much a part of the dancer’s art and performance as an exquisite arabesque or a soaring grand jete’.  These are the dancers tools, in which they ascend to a new level of artistic expression, but more importantly a worn-out shoe will not only compromise the dancer’s art but will certainly cause injury to the dancer’s foot.

The financial strain on a young dancer for pointe shoes can become a too large a burden to continue dancing as they often need one new pair of pointe shoes each week.  Every new pair costs the dancers $75.  Through this fund, pointe shoes can be purchased in bulk at a cost of $25 per pair.  Please support dancers in need by making a contribution to the Peggy Fouke Wertz Pointe Shoe Fund.  Become an integral part of the training of tomorrow’s finest dancers!
